Sports

All students have two physical education classes and one swimming class per week throughout the school year.
PE teachers send information to parents in fall.

Swimming

Swimming lessons at Engjaskóli take place at Grafarvogslaug pool. Students attend swimming lessons once a week for 40 minutes throughout the school year. Students must bring swimwear (no bikinis) and goggles. Please send children in clothing they can easily change in and out of. Long hair should be tied back. We recommend parents label all clothing, towels and swim bags with names and phone numbers.

Snacks

Students should bring healthy snacks to school. They should bring fruits and vegetables for morning breaks. Candy is not allowed at school or during school trips unless specifically permitted by the homeroom teacher.

Because of allergies, Engjaskóli is a coconut- and nut-free school, so it is strictly forbidden to bring lunches to school that contain coconut and nuts.

School rules

Phone use

Students are not allowed to use their phones during school hours.
