Engjaskóli is a primary school in Grafarvogur. The school's core values are creation, perseverance and collaboration.
There are three primary schools in northern Grafarvogur. Engjaskóli and Borgaskóli are for students in grades 1-7.
Víkurskóli is a consolidated school for students in grades 8-10.
The after-school program Brosbær operates at Engjaskóli.

Engjaskóli offers diverse and creative learning, aiming to promote comprehensive development of all students, educating responsible, capable, creative, and independent citizens. The emphasis is on diverse teaching methods, formative learning, and team collaboration for staff. The school also emphasizes health promotion, environmental education, rights education, and innovation. We follow the parenting policy "Raising for Responsibility". Engjaskóli adheres to the Reykjavík City's Education Policy “Let Dreams Come True“.

Primary school meals
Skólamatur handles school meals at Engjaskóli. You can find the menu on the school's website under "Matseðill"
School meals are free for the 2025-2026 school year. However, the school still needs to track information about allergies and intolerances and limit food waste. Students must register for the school lunch program as before.
